Employee - Shinin

In legal terms, a member of a company means a contributor to the company. In everyday language, the word "partner" means a company's employee, but it should be noted that in the Companies Act, it refers to the members of an incorporated association called a company. In the text, members of general partnerships, limited partnerships, and limited liability companies are called "partners," while members who are members of a joint-stock company are called "shareholders." Note that company creditors are not "partners," since they only have claims against the company (providing borrowed capital) and do not make investments (providing equity capital).

法律上の用語では、会社に対する出資者という意味での会社の構成員のこと。社員ということばは、日常用語においては会社の従業員を意味しているが、会社法においては、会社という社団の構成員をさすことに注意を要する。条文においては、合名会社、合資会社、合同会社の構成員を社員とよび、株式会社の構成員である社員は株主とよばれる。なお、会社債権者は、会社に対して債権（他人資本を提供）を有するだけで、出資（自己資本を提供）をしているわけではないので、社員ではない。
