The name of a school of court songs (Roei, Saibaraku, Imayo, Hikko, etc.). Of the two ancient schools of songs, the Minamoto and Fujiwara, this school inherited the Minamoto style from the Nijo family and traces its roots to Nobuari, a descendant of Minamoto Masanobu. It produced such scholars as Atsuari, who wrote "Eikyoku Sojoshidai," Arishun, who wrote "Ryōjinguanshō," and Shunkyō, who wrote "Ayakoji Shunkyōki," and worked to pass on the Minamoto style, but it was abolished in the Meiji period and was passed down to the Ohara family.
