Pleurodira

[Classification]
Modern turtles are broadly divided into two groups, Pleurodira and Cryptodira, based on the way they retract their heads and necks. Cryptodira bend their necks horizontally and hide them between their shells, but the bent head and neck are not completely hidden, and the head is visible from the outside.
